Up at 3am today  for a  run down to Swanage for the sunrise.

A bright day beckoned but unfortunatley without too much detail in the sky. It's so cold in the morning at this time of the year and there was quite an icy wind, but once the dawn light broke on the horizon it was all worth it.

I got a couple of nice shots for the gallery. I particularly like the groine with it's marker on the top. They look quite strange sticking out when the tides in.

I stopped on the way back to take in Corfe Castle while no one was about - no sign of the steam train though.

I enjoyed the trip - all the more, when I was back home tucking into breakfast.
